The first pride parade in Fort Lauderdale took place in 1977, organized by the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of South Florida. Since then, the annual celebration has grown in size and scope, attracting visitors from around the world who come to enjoy the festivities and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Festival

The festival is celebrated on Saturday and Sunday with a fantastic two-day beach festival, where the day time activities will be held at Fort Lauderdale Beach at the Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park. There will be multiple stages of wonderful entertainment with over 150 vendors, headlining performances, live music, beach parties and sunset concerts with world renowned DJs. At night, the activities will be based around Wilton Manors where the majority of LGBTQ+ venues are all located. Get your sunscreen, rainbow gear and don’t forget water for a weekend of sun and fun!

Pride Parade

The main pride parade takes place on Saturday early afternoon going down the A1A (Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.) and leads directly to the festival activities that will be held afterwards at Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park. Pride weekend Fort Lauderdale typically kicks off with the pride parade, which winds down the A1A, parallel to the world class Fort Lauderdale Beach, featuring colorful floats, marching bands, and tens of thousands of participants.

Following the parade, festival-goers can enjoy a variety of amazing events afterwards in the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach at Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park and on the gorgeous beach front.
