Found on Mexico's Pacific coast, Puerto Vallarta is a gorgeous city, with unbelievable natural beauty, and hosts some of the best LGBTQ+ destinations in the area. Puerto Vallarta is one of the country’s most popular gay tourist destinations, so you will have plenty of friends to make while in town.
As you wander through the cobblestone streets of the Zona Romántica, Puerto Vallarta's beating heart, you'll find yourself enveloped in a charming embrace that feels like a warm hug from an old friend. This area is the epicenter of LGBTQ+ culture in the city, buzzing with lively gay bars, quaint queer cafes, and a fewclubs that invite you to dance the night away under a canopy of stars.
With perfect weather, the beach is unsurprisingly the main attraction. Check out the Blue Chairs Resort—which is a stable spot in the gay area, and if you hang out late enough, they host an awesome drag show at its rooftop bar. Other queer nightlife spots are close together in the quaint Zona Romántica. Just don’t get there too early—not much happens before midnight and the party really doesn’t peak until 1 - 2 am or so.
By day, take a boat ride to the Marieta Islands to see a whole wide world of marine life, like whales, sea turtles, manta rays, wild dolphins, and thousands of beautiful tropical fish. Aquaventuras Park, Los Muertos Beach, or the Malecón are also hot spots to check out while in PV.
It doesn't matter if you are into the blue water or bright lights of nightclubs, either way, Puerto Vallarta is a spot to strike the perfect blend of revelry and relaxation whether it's for two nights or ten.
