Visit EqualdexFort Lauderdale's heart beats loudest in Wilton Manors, often fondly dubbed the "gayborhood." Here, the streets hum with life with over 100+ LGBTQ+ community-owned establishments from all types of Fort Lauderdale gay bars, queer cafes, LGBTQ+ clubs, and is one of the city’s largest (and traditionally gay) hotspots. A quick 15-minute drive takes to you Sebastian Street Gay Beach, where you’ll find even more queer-owned venues and even some exclusively gay resorts. Other popular spots on the coast include Haulover Beach (clothing optional nude beach that is packed during the summer) and the beach at NE 18th Street (a fave of bears and leather lovers).

A leisurely gondola ride through the intricate canal system reveals the city's opulent side, with grandiose homes and yachts lining the banks, a stark contrast to the laid-back charm of the beachfront promenades.
And definitely don't forget Fort Lauderdale's foodie scene! If you see and do everything in Fort Lauderdale (which we highly doubt!) and still have time on your calendar, another gay hot spot of Miami is just a short 30 to 45 minutes drive south (depending on traffic). Keep going south and a few hours drive will take you into the popular gay city of Key West, which has been a proud LGBTQ+ paradise for decades.
