Center Details

Casa Qui works to end the homophobic environments in Lisbon through raising awareness and creating educational projects.

Casa Qui is a private social institution whose aims are to support children and youth victims of domestic violence or expelled from their homes because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or sexual characteristics; to support victims of intimate violence in same-sex relationships; to promote a healthy development of everyone engaged with LGBTQ+ issues, through professional specialized support on mental health and sexuality; and to promote gender equality and fight against gender violence. Casa Qui has currently the following ongoing services:

A Victim Support Office for LGBTQ+ Youth that offers, at no charge, psychological, juridical and psychosocial support to young people targeted by family violence, violence in intimate relationships, bullying at school and/or in situation of crisis/vulnerability.

Autonomy Apartments for LGBTQ+ youth victim of family violence and/or homelessness.

The Social Clinic, which is open for the whole population, offering Psychology, Psychiatry and Children and Adolescent Psychiatry services, specialized on LGBTQ+ topics, for free or through social or regular prices.

The LGBTQ+ Employability Network which supports LGBTQ+ people in vulnerable situation to find employment and, whenever possible, with employers that have a clear Diversity, Equality and Inclusion policies.

Professional Training for Strategic Groups on LGBTQ+ children and youth and on domestic violence in same-sex couples or against trans people.
