Vienna Pride is a celebration that electrifies the vibrant streets of Austria's magnificent capital city of Vienna. Vienna Pride, also known as Regenbogenparade (Rainbow Parade), is not your average Pride event—it's a blend of culture, diversity, and sheer revelry that will leave you spellbound.

Pride Festival

The heart and soul of Vienna Pride is the iconic Regenbogenparade, a beautiful procession that winds its way through the city center. Prepare to be swept up in an array of rainbow flags, glittering costumes, and exuberant music. The streets pulse with energy as floats, marching bands, and revelers fill the air with laughter and celebration. Highlights include, the Pride Parade, Pride Village, Pride Run, and Pride Night.

Pride Parade

History comes alive during the parade, with each step paying homage to the LGBTQ+ activists who paved the way for the community's rights and visibility. It's a powerful reminder that progress is built upon the shoulders of those who came before us.

Everyone will gather from 9:30 am between Rathausplatz/Burgtheater and Franz-Josefs-Kai to line up.

Parade Route

The parade will set off at 12 pm and will go around the entire Ringstraße in the opposite direction of traffic. The route leads past the Parliament, Heldenplatz, the Vienna State Opera, Stubenring, Urania, Schwedenplatz, Franz-Josefs-Kai, to Börse, and then to University of Vienna, returning back to Rathausplatz where the Pride Celebration will take place.

At 3 pm, the parade will pause for a moment honoring those who are no longer with us (Moment of Silence).

The front of the parade is expected to return to Rathausplatz around 4 pm, with the end arriving about one and a half to two hours later.
