Visit EqualdexStep back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history of Cihangir Sauna, one of Istanbul's oldest gay saunas, founded in 1957. Located in the heart Istanbul, not too far from Taksim area, Cihangir Sauna is a popular sauna among Turkish locals, attracting a diverse crowd ranging from their late 30s to 50s. Side note: This is not a Turkish hammam.
While the rooms may be tiny and slightly pricier compared to other gay saunas in Istanbul, the experience is well worth it. The intimate setting fosters a unique atmosphere where you can unwind and connect with others. The Istanbul sauna sees its peak activity after work hours and on weekends, especially Sundays, making it the perfect spot to mingle and enjoy some adult fun.
Cihangir Sauna also offers massage services by staff if you are need in some extra attention and want to relieve some stress. They are usually fairly cheap and are great for relieving stress. As with any sauna, make sure that you are playing with another patron and not a rent boy, which sometimes can happen here, and make sure it is just fun and not a transaction.
Open daily from 10 am to 11 pm, Cihangir Sauna promises a delightful escape from the bustling city life. Whether you're a local or a traveler, this historic sauna offers a warm and inviting environment where Turkish hospitality and camaraderie thrive. Indulge in the gay sauna experience at Cihangir Sauna, where tradition meets modern-day leisure in the heart of Istanbul. Let us know what your Cihangir Sauna reviews are!
Firuzaga Hamamı is a smaller historical gay sauna and one of the most popular in Beyoglu area of Istanbul and a perfect place to see a local Hamamı. Patrons are usually hairy men mid 30s to 50s, with a smattering of gay tourists here in Istanbul. Yeşildirek Hamamı is the other gay sauna in Istanbul that we recommend. lt has a wide range of patrons but most are usually middle aged men or foreign daddies, but some younger guys too. "Tarihi (Historical) Yesildirek Sifa Hamami" is written on the signboard outside, but it is known as Sifa hamami or Yesildirek Hamam by local people in Istanbul.
