Hinsegin (Reykjavik Pride)

Show off the LGBTQ+ community’s love, hope, and diversity—and of course, our commitment to having a fabulous time in Reykjavík. This is the chance to promote, loudly and proudly, self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, and visibility where and when it counts.

Reykjavík Pride Parade

Time: Usually 2 pm

Where: Kick off from Hallgrímskirkja.

From Hallgrímskirkja, the parade proceeds down Skólavörðustígur, Bankastræti, Lækjargata, and Fríkirkjuvegur. The parade ends at the intersection of Fríkirkjuvegur and Skothúsvegur.

Participants continue along Sóleyjargata and into Hljómskálagarður Park, where the Pride festivities and outdoor concert will follow.

Reykjavík Outdoor Concert

The Outdoor Concert is where a third of the nation gathers to show their support to LGBTQ+ people, through celebrating queer history, culture and LGBTQ+ identity. Amazing music, empowering speeches and powerful performances! Afterwards there is a closing party to close out the events, plus all the Reykjavík gay bars will be throwing special events throughout the weekend.

Gaukurinn, Bravó, and Kiki Queer Bar are the top rated gay bars in town and will all be busy with Pride festivities.
