How It All Kicked Off

• Back in the '90s, gay ex-detective Andreas Stiene arrived in Cologne, convinced he was the only queer footballer in the world. Spoiler: he wasn’t.
• Enter Cream Team Cologne, a seriously skilled group of leisure players who weren’t afraid to bring pride to the pitch.
• After a memorable match between Cream Team and the Cologne police selection in 1994, Andreas had a vision:
• What if a football tournament could unite all walks of life—LGBTQ+, allies, pros, amateurs, cops, creatives, and everyone in between—for one day of pure joy on the field?
• In 1995, that vision became reality. Ten teams took part in the first COME-TOGETHER-CUP.
