CHERRY

CHERRY is Washington D.C.'s vibrant charity event/dance party weekend in the US Capital. CHERRY has blossomed as one of the longest-standing non-profit circuit party organizations in the country, the Cherry Fund is not just about fun and games. It's a symbol of hope, a beacon of resilience, and a fierce force of good, relentlessly serving numerous HIV/AIDS & LGBTQ+ Mental Health Service organizations in the Washington DC metro area.

Weekend Details

Spanning a delightful four days, CHERRY's weekend is packed with multiple mesmerizing events and daytime shindigs that are more fun than a barrel of, well... cherries! The lineup? The event is know for its internationally acclaimed DJs, ensuring that every moment is backed by the perfect beat.

Experience a sensory elevations as CHERRY commandeers some of DC's elite venues, transforming them into fantastical party wonderlands. Ethereal light shows, high-beat soundscapes that give you goosebumps, jaw-dropping decor, sultry hosts that will make your heart skip a beat, and a brigade of vivacious gogos.

Eagerly anticipate the unique theme unveiled each year. This creates a unique experience for everyone each year and allows attendees to get their creative juices flowing, whether they're dreaming up intricate, show-stopping ensembles or taking the minimalist route (fancy a color-coordinated harness?).

Location

There are multiple dance events that occur throughout the weekend event, with main events usually held at these venues in Washington D.C.

  • Echostage – large venue located in Washington, D.C. area that is a hybrid nightclub and concert hall. The space has over 30,000 square feet and can hold up to 3,000 attendees.
  • Ultrabar – multilevel space with top-notch lighting effects & DJs, in between Ford’s Theatre and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, found near the downtown Penn Quarter and Chinatown areas.
  • Soundcheck – outfitted with LED walls, lights, lasers, and classic disco balls that make dance events here the perfect spot to dance the night away.
