Pride Barcelona also known as - Orgullo Barcelona - brings in over 250,000 celebrators into the Eixample District of Barcelona (and surrounding areas), to show off the LGBTQ+ community’s love, hope, and diversity - and of course, our commitment to having an amazing time.
Barcelona has been celebrating pride for over a decade, so come out and let loose with native Barcelonians for a week of amazing LGBTQ+ events. The city is already known for its vibrant LGBTQ+ community and its inclusive culture, but during pride week, it takes on a whole new level of excitement and energy.
The festivities kick off with a massive parade usually from Avinguda Maria Cristina, next to the Montjuïc fountains that winds its way through the streets of the city. The colorful floats are all decked out in rainbow colors, and the participants are dressed in their most outrageous outfits. There are drag performers, dancers, acrobats, and performers of all kinds, all celebrating love and diversity. The energy is electric, and the crowds are massive, with people coming from all over the world to be a part of the celebration.
After the parade, the party continues in the streets with live music, DJs, and performances in the city's many squares and plazas. The bars and clubs in the gay neighborhood of Eixample are also in full swing, with parties and events that go all night long. From rooftop parties to underground raves, there is something for everyone.
But the fun doesn't stop there. There are also cultural events, talks, and workshops that focus on LGBTQ+ issues, history, and culture. The city's many museums and galleries also get involved, with special exhibitions and events that explore LGBTQ+ themes.
One of the highlights of the week is the massive beach party that takes place on Barceloneta beach. This is the perfect opportunity to soak up some sun, dance to some great music, and make some new amigos. The party is a beautiful celebration of inclusivity and love, with people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds coming together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
Come out and show your pride no matter where you fall on the rainbow scale! After all, diversity in gender, sexuality and celebratory spirits is what makes pride so incredible year after year.
