Pikes Peak Pride is a community event expected to gather thousands of visitors together from across the state and Pikes Peak Region into downtown Colorado Springs.

Southern Colorado has enjoyed a robust pride tradition for over 3 decades, and this is the second year under the management of Pikes Peak Pride. Pikes Peak Pride draws thousands of people each year to participate in a weekend-long extravaganza of parades, parties, and performances in the picturesque city of Colorado Springs in the United States.

Pride Details

Pikes Peak Pride honors the active and diverse achievements of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities of Colorado. In its early years, the event was a small gathering of like-minded individuals who wanted to create a space for themselves in a society that was largely hostile to their existence. Over the years, the event has grown in size and scope, but it has never lost sight of its original mission. This is an opportunity for all LGBTQ+ Coloradans to celebrate our achievements and remind the world that we exist while raising awareness within the communities.

There will be two full days of vendor booths, food trucks, beer garden and high energy entertainment to include a fabulous parade on Sunday. The heart of Pikes Peak Pride is the parade, which winds its way through the downtown area to the cheers of spectators.

The parade is a colorful spectacle of floats, costumes, and music, with participants from all walks of life coming together to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you're gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer, or anywhere on the rainbow scale, you'll find a warm welcome at Pikes Peak Pride!

After the parade, the party continues with a variety of events and activities in Alamo Square Park. There are concerts, drag shows, dance parties, and more, all designed to showcase the talents and contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals. The festival also features a range of food and drink vendors, as well as local businesses and organizations that support the LGBTQ+ community.

Pride is always a great opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals still face in our society. So, the festival features a number of workshops and panel discussions on LGBTQ+ issues. These events provide a space for people to share their stories, connect with others, and learn about the resources available to them.

Pikes Peak Pride is a celebration of love, community, and acceptance. It's a chance for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies to come together and show the world that they are a vital and valued part of society. So if you're in Colorado Springs, be sure to join in the festivities and experience the magic of Pikes Peak Pride for yourself!
