The inaugural Pride Parade, christened as the Desert Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade, took its vivacious stride through the Palm Springs avenues, flaunting 35 vibrant units and receiving a rousing ovation from hundreds of celebrators. Since that modest genesis, the Greater Palm Springs Pride has evolved into a massive LGBTQ+ event in Palm Springs, magnetizing over 125,000 spirited attendees hailing from the depths of Southern California and beyond.
