Denver PrideFest is one of the most exciting and vibrant events on Denver's calendar and has a rich history of LGBTQ+ pride. Denver Pride began in 1976, and it has been going strong ever since. It is organized by the Center on Colfax, which is a nonprofit organization that provides support and services to the LGBTQ+ community. The first Denver pride parade was a small event, with just a few hundred people participating. However, it has grown in popularity over the years, and it now attracts more than 450,000 people to the city every year.
Denver Pridefest is a celebration of love and diversity. It is a time when the LGBTQ+ community can come together and show their pride and support for one another. The event includes a fabulous parade, two-day festival, PRIDE 5k Run, live music, food, and amazing entertainment. There are also educational booths and vendors that offer information on LGBTQ+ rights, health, and services.
The highlight of Denver PrideFest is the parade. The parade features colorful floats, uplifting music, and of course, dancing! It starts at Cheesman Park and winds its way through the city streets, ending at Civic Center Park.
The festival takes place after the parade in Civic Center Park, and it features tons of fun events, live music, food, and fantastic entertainment. There are also educational booths and vendors that offer information on LGBTQ+ rights, health, and services. The festival is a great place to meet new people and learn more about the community. Past performers include - Kylie Sonique Love, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, singer and DJ Cazwell, Crystal Waters and many more.

Denver PrideFest features a two-day festival that draws visitors from throughout the state of Colorado, all across the United States and internationally. Denver PrideFest takes place on Saturday and Sunday at downtown’s centrally situated Civic Center Park, at Colfax Avenue and Broadway. Admission to the festival is free. Most of the LGBTQ+ festivities will be centered around the Cheesman Park, downtown and Highlands areas.
The pride parade starts early, so set those alarm clocks! Over 100,000 cheering guests will be spread across fourteen blocks from Colfax Avenue to Cheesman Park and then to Civic Center with people cheering on the sidelines. Get your favorite rainbow garb on and get ready to celebrate with other fabulous members of the LGBTQ+ community to show off our pride!
The Denver PRIDE 5K enables supporters of the Center on Colfax to raise funds in support of their mission. The Center provides critically important programs and services to Colorado’s LGBTQ+ community. It kicks off pride on Saturday from the West Steps of the Colorado State Capitol and goes from the State Capitol to Cheesman Park and back. If you love to run and help support a good cause, make sure to sign up and help raise money for the community.
