Dallas Pride is a fabulous annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Dallas, Texas since the 1980s.

IMPORTANT - This is the summer pride and the fall pride is called Pride in Dallas, located in the gayborhood of Oak Lawn.

Dallas Pride is one of the biggest and most popular LGBTQ+ pride celebrations in the southern United States. This vibrant and fun-filled festival brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate diversity and love into the city of Dallas.

The history of Dallas Pride can be traced back to 1972, when a group of activists organized a peaceful demonstration in front of the Dallas County Courthouse to protest against discrimination and inequality faced by the LGBTQ+ community. This event was the first-ever pride march in Texas, and it paved the way for the modern-day Dallas Pride.

This year Dallas Pride will celebrate both the parade and its festivities in Fair Park, which is a National Historic Landmark that covers 277 acres east of downtown Dallas. The park is transformed into a lively rainbow carnival-like atmosphere, with vendors selling food, drinks, and LGBTQ+ merchandise, and various stages featuring live music, drag shows, and other wonderful performances.

Throughout the weekend, there are also a variety of educational and cultural events, such as panel discussions, film screenings, and art exhibits, that highlight the history and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community in Dallas.

Festival - June 1 - 2

The Dallas Pride festival takes place over two days and the festivities will be held at Fair Park, which is a close drive east of Oak Lawn. There will be tons of vendors, cocktail bars, and fellow pride-goers to celebrate with. If you are looking for the live entertainment and performances, they will be held at the Centennial and Automobile Building areas in Fair Park. Make sure to stay hydrated and put on lots of sunblock!

Pride Parade - Sunday, June 2

The pride parade route encircles Cotton Bowl Stadium through Fair Park and will feature over 150 entries and is free to attend. The parade ends late afternoon, then festivities will continue in Fair Park until early evening. Afterwards, Cedar Springs Road in Oak lawn, which is bursting with bars, clubs and restaurants, will continue the celebrations. Be ready for a rainbow feast for the eyes, because there will be rainbows everywhere and have a fabulous time celebrating our community's pride!

Dallas Pride is a fun and festive celebration that brings people together to celebrate the diversity and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you're a member of the community or an ally, Dallas Pride is a must-attend event that showcases the best of what the city has to offer. So put on your rainbow colors, join the parade, and let's celebrate love and equality! Can't wait to see you in the streets of the D-Town.
