Visit EqualdexBerlin Pride is back and it's bigger and better than ever before! As the LGBTQ+ community and allies descend on the streets of Berlin for weeks of spectacular events from drag walks, charity events, rooftop parties, street fairs and ending with the famous Christopher Street Day (CSD) Parade event, where the city is transformed into a vibrant and colorful celebration of love, acceptance, and equality. In case you aren't aware, Christopher Street Day (CSD) is an annual European LGBTQ+ celebration and demonstration held in various cities across Europe for the rights of LGBTQ+ people.
With a vibrant and diverse community (and knows how to have fun and party), Berlin is the perfect city to host this iconic and legendary event. From the bustling streets of Schöneberg to the trendy bars and clubs of Kreuzberg, the city is awash with color and life, making it the perfect backdrop for a weekend of non-stop revelry.
CSD Parade is the major highlight and is a lively and colorful event, plus one of the biggest and most anticipated pride parades in Europe. The festivities will kick off with a bang, as the dazzling parade winds its way through the city streets of Berlin. Thousands of revelers, decked out in rainbow colors and glittering costumes, will dance and sing to the beat of the music. Expect to see plenty of rainbow flags, flamboyant outfits, and plenty of smiles as people come together to celebrate their identities and the progress made in the fight for equality.
As the parade reaches its climax, the party will continue at the festival, which takes place at the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Here, you can expect to find an incredible array of entertainment, from live music and DJ sets to drag shows and cabaret acts. There will be food stalls serving up delicious treats from around the world, as well as plenty of bars and beer gardens where you can quench your thirst and soak up the atmosphere, people watch or meets some new German friends, either way this event is a feast for the senses that will leave you grinning from ear to ear.
One of the other highlights of the festival is the Berlin Pride Street Fair, where you can sample delicious food from local vendors, browse through stalls selling LGBTQ+ merchandise and artwork, and connect with community organizations and businesses.
Another noteworthy event - The Gay and Lesbian City Festival (Stadtfest Festival), also known as Motzfest - is the week before the main parade. The festival attracts more than 350,000 visitors. The festival is around the bars in Schöneberg, so you can pop around the gay shops around the main street. But the fun doesn't stop there! In the evening, the city comes alive with a series of parties and club nights that cater to almost every taste and preference. From techno to pop, and everything in between, there is something for everyone.
But it's not all about the partying – this is a celebration with a message. The event is about raising awareness, promoting equality and creating a safe and supportive environment for all members of the LGBTQ+ community. So, as you march through the city with your head held high, know that you are making a difference and helping to create a more inclusive world.

The month long festivities take place in the beautiful streets of Berlin and main spots to hit will be Schöneberg - particularly around Motzstraße, the heart of gay area in Berlin - but you can’t go wrong in this super-welcoming city, with other gay spots in Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg. Enjoy weeks of festivities throughout the streets of Berlin no matter whether you're gay or lesbian, trans, bi, queer, questioning, friend, loved one, or ally, you and yours should come as you are to celebrate with fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community.
The CSD parade starts at Leipziger Str and goes from Potsdamer Platz winding its way to Nollendorfplatz, Karl-Heinrich-Ulrichs-Str., Lützowplatz, through Großer Stern and ending at Brandenburg Gate. Afterwards, the pride rally starts with the stunning Brandenburg Gate in the background as a welcoming gate for all the festivities! The rally will have some of the best live performances, bands and international DJs, so get your best party shoes on and march with pride!
This two day annual street festival is held in Berlin - Schöneberg's gay district in the streets around Motzstraße and Fuggerstraße. The streets are packed and the festivities are plentiful with vendors, beer gardens, delicious food carts and six stages of entertainers and DJs spinning energetic beats. This is one of the biggest festival events of the year in Berlin, so get ready to have some beer and meet lots of fun new mates.
