Pride weekend Buenos Aires is the ultimate LGBTQ+ celebration of love, diversity, and inclusivity in the vibrant capital of Argentina.

The first pride march started in 1992, led by Carlos Jáuregui, with a small group of marchers, and how has it grown! Buenos Aires now hosts over 100,000 pride celebrators. The Argentinian LGBTQ+ community continues this journey for acceptance each year and this is why pride is so important! This year's pride event promises to be bigger, better, and more colorful than ever before, with a jam-packed schedule of events for Buenos Aires Pride (Orgullo de Buenos Aires) that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.

Event Details

The Pride weekend Buenos Aires festivities kick off with a bang, as thousands of revelers flood the streets of Buenos Aires for the pride event. It is a week full of amazing events, parties, socials, and other happenings to check out and celebrate our LGBTQ+ community. The highlight of the week though is Marcha del Orgullo de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Pride March Parade), where everyone is ready to celebrate our community's strength, resilience and fabulousness.

Following the parade, the party continues in Plaza de Mayo, the central square of Buenos Aires. Here, you'll find a carnival atmosphere, with street performers, food vendors, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. The plaza is also home to the main stage, where performers from around the world will take to the mic and stage to entertain the crowds.

Of course, no pride celebration would be complete without a bit of after-hours fun, and Buenos Aires has you covered! The city's main LGBTQ+ neighborhood, Palermo, is one of the most vibrant in the world, with clubs and bars that cater to all tastes. Whether you're into techno, pop, or anything in between, you'll find a venue that suits your style. And with the party continuing into the late hours of the morning, you'll have plenty of time to dance the night away.

Why Go

But pride isn't just about the party. It's also a chance to celebrate the progress that has been made in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, and to raise awareness of the challenges that still lie ahead. That's why Buenos Aires Pride will feature a number of talks and workshops, covering everything from queer history to current issues facing the community. These events will be held in various venues around the city, and will be open to all.

Perhaps the best thing about Buenos Aires Pride is the sense of community that it fosters. Whether you're a member of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally, you'll be welcomed with open arms. Pride is a chance to come together, to celebrate our differences, and to show the world that love knows no bounds. So pack your most fabulous outfits, grab your friends, and get ready to join the party of the year in one of the world's most beautiful cities. Buenos Aires Pride is waiting for you!
